FAQ

Why to go on a tour to the Czech Republic with Hefty74 Moto Tours ?

The Czech Republic is a hidden gem for motorcyclists.
Smooth roads, little traffic, and endless curves.

Ride through rolling hills, forests, lakes, and historic towns — all within minutes. Prague is just one of many unforgettable highlights.

With over 1,500 km of carefully selected routes, you’ll experience the roads local riders truly love.

Our guides are former racers and professional instructors. They know where to go — and how to help you ride better.

Expect great hotels, excellent food, and the freedom to enjoy the journey your way.

This is our home. We know it, we love it — and we’ll show you the very best of it.

Arrival and departure time.

Please plan to arrive in Prague on the Paternal Day (Day 0) if possible between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Central European Time.

Plan to depart from Prague on Day 8 of your tour if possible at 3 p.m. or later.

There is only one international airport in Prague, Vaclav Havel Airport.

If you are unable to arrive or depart at the above-mentioned times, please inform Hefty74 Moto Tours and we will arrange your trip individually.

What if I have an accident?

In the event of a motorcycle breakdown or in the event of an accident where the rider can continue, but the technical condition of the motorcycle does not allow it, we will provide either a replacement motorcycle or a quick repair depending on the situation. The replacement motorcycle may be a different type.

In any case, we will help you solve everything quickly and calmly. A supporting van is available as needed.

In the event that a rider suffers an injury and needs medical attention, we are always nearby and will provide the necessary. One of the guides always goes last in the group precisely so that he can help if an accident happens or someone is in trouble.

In the Czech Republic, the rescue and medical service is at a world-class level.

We never let you down.

What documentation do I need to take with me?

All riders will need their passport, driving licence, personal and travel insurance documentation.

Just let us know in plenty of time and we will make sure all the hotels along the route are made aware.

What meals are included?

Breakfast is included and served at the hotel, usually as a buffet.

Lunch and dinner are not included, giving you the freedom to choose exactly what you like.

Each day, we stop at carefully selected local restaurants — places we personally know and recommend for their quality and atmosphere.

Dinner is typically arranged at the hotel or in a great restaurant nearby. If needed, transport is provided.

Vegetarian options are usually available. If you have any special dietary requirements, just let us know in advance.

We’re passionate about good food — and we make sure every stop is worth it.

Full details for each tour can be found on the specific tour page.

What standard hotels do we stay at?

We don’t stay in cheap or budget accommodation. Generally speaking a 4-star hotel is our standard.  We only choose the best hotels for our tours; having personally researched each and every one along our routes we choose hotels where possible whilst many others have a range of facilities including swimming pools etc… While quality, comfort, and friendliness is at the top of our agenda when picking accommodation we also always try and choose places with amenities nearby such as restaurants, bars and ATMs where possible.

The hotel which we stay at during the Road Racing Experience Tour is actually a Golf and Ski resort. There is a chance to play golf after the day ride or early morning.

What should I pack?

In one of our promo videos we say: book your flight, bring your passport and your underwear — we take care of the rest.
It’s a joke… but not far from reality.

You can travel light. We provide the essentials for the tour, and you always have the option to rent full riding gear — including helmet with intercom, jacket, pants, boots, and more.

A support vehicle carries your luggage throughout the tour, so you don’t need to worry about packing for the bike.

Just bring what you need for your personal comfort — we’ll take care of the ride.

What about Golf clubs?

For the Bike and Golf Tour, we recommend taking your golf clubs with you. Although golf resorts offer clubs for rent, their quantity is limited and the quality varies. If you are a keen golfer, the rental clubs may have limited your experience. If you are a beginner, or you are preparing for your first golf experience, you can get by with rented clubs. Wear appropriate golf clothing.

Golf equipment, as well as all your other luggage, will be transported by Hefty van.

The simple answer is probably less than you think! We provide suggested packing lists with all our tour packs.

It is possible that the tour will be cancelled due to lack of bookings?

The tour may be cancelled due to lack of confirmed bookings. The minimum number of participants is six. In the event that there are fewer than six participants three weeks before the start of the tour, we will inform you and resolve the situation as agreed with you. Either you will be refunded in full, or we will find an alternative date, or we will organize an individual tour for a limited number of participants as agreed with you.

Do I have to ride as a part of the group?

Each tour has at least one guide. While it’s not mandatory to stick with the group at all times, there are set waypoints, restaurants, and stops along the route that everyone is expected to reach.

For the best experience, we recommend riding together as one group. Each participant will also receive the route digitally, ready to load into a phone or GPS device.

What is a Sunset Ride?

A sunset ride is an afternoon or evening ride option for those who still have the appetite and energy to cover additional kilometers after completing the daily planned route and arriving at the hotel. Some of the guides always have a route prepared for approximately 1 or 2 hours.

Do you run support Van on these Tours?

Yes we do. There is supporting vehicle all the time. The vehicle also transports your laguage and belongings.
